Meet our staff (Academic Year 2025/2026)
Management Team:
Emma Blewden – Managing Director

Having founded Educalis in 2015, I am the longest-standing staff member and a bit of a “Jack of all trades”. Weekdays, you’ll find me studying Psychology at Gloucester University, and late afternoon/evenings and weekends, if I’m not tutoring Mathematics or Physics, you’ll find me training in First Aid, Mental Health, Manual Handling and Neurodiversity. I am also a fully qualified Psychotherapist, specialising in Neurodiversity.
Eryn Oakley – Manager, tutor of Maths, Psychology, Business, Criminology, PE

I have just completed my Master’s Degree in International Security and Risk Management with Counter Terrorism and am considering a PhD in the same field. I Graduated from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours Degree in Criminology & Sociology. My long-term goal is to either progress in the field of international security or into teaching (I am undecided, as I love the prospect of both!!). In my spare time, however, I like reading, running, spending time with friends and family and travelling to different countries.
Morgan Thomas – Assistant Manager, tutor of English, Maths, Science

I have just completed my dissertation for my Master’s Degree in Behaviour Analysis and Therapy, following my undergraduate degree in Education, Psychology and SEN (Special Educational Needs). I have found I have a real passion for working with and supporting children in an educational context, but also with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties. In my spare time, I really enjoy going out with my friends and family, walking my dogs, and I have recently got into reading again. I am part of Bedwas Young Farmers, which means I regularly attend social events and compete for my club throughout the year. Even though I am not a farmer, it is really nice to be a part of a social community where we are challenged and stretched. I particularly enjoyed the tug-of-war contests, with our team advancing to the finals.
Helen Robinson – Specialist Teacher – Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia)

Lead Tutors:
Gwenllian (Gwen) Davies – Lead Tutor, Maths, Science.
Matthew Gooding – Lead Tutor, Maths, Science, English

I am currently in my first year of Medicine at Cardiff University, having previously studied A-Level in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Outside of academics, I play tennis and am an Assistant Tennis Coach at Caerphilly Tennis Club. I also volunteer with St John Ambulance. I have previously held a position as a Learner Ambassador on the Qualifications Wales Learner Panel where I and other students from across Wales advise on the new GCSE and A-Level process as in line with the New Curriculum for Wales.
Hannah Walters – Lead Tutor, English.

I am currently in my second year at Cardiff Metropolitan University studying Primary Education. My end goal is to become a fully qualified teacher, gaining my QTS and going on to my dream job of teaching in a Primary school. I’m a good listener, easily approachable, adaptable to situations and bubbly. I really enjoy teaching; it’s definitely worth it. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog, going to the cinema, and spending time with friends – who doesn’t love a social occasion now and then?
Tutors:

Elinor Lewis – Maths, Science, English, History – Welsh Medium

I’m pursuing a law degree at Swansea University, as my plan is to become an international human rights lawyer. My strengths are my ability to work under pressure, my resourcefulness, and my attention to detail. I enjoy chess and reading books, and am in the debate team and an orchestra.
Jess Marlow – Maths, Science, English

I am currently studying biology, chemistry, and psychology at A-level. I plan to follow a career path in psychology. I am a hard worker, resilient, and I am also a good communicator. I am friendly, approachable and enjoy helping others. I like studying and challenging myself but also love a break with my friends.
Adam Davies – A-Level Online Tutor, Maths & Science

I am currently studying Mathematics and Computer Science at Oxford University, having previously studied further mathematics, mathematics, and physics at A-Level. I have a strong passion for both Mathematics and Computer Science, which is why I’m pursuing a joint degree in these subjects. I hope to work in a role that combines these interests, where I can use my skills in problem-solving and analysis. Outside of academics, I volunteer at my local community centre, where I help run a code club and digital help drop-in sessions.
